What if I notice a problem that needs attention?

Pick Up Service
One of the most valuable free services we provide to our customers is the ability to ship directly to your storage unit. This service provides you the freedom to pick up your deliveries at your convenience. Our staff will meet the delivery personal and assist them to getting your items put in the right place. This service is offered during our business hours of 9:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday. This free service requires you to sign our General Release of Liability Form.
Can I ship to any Your Extra Closet location?
In Oxford, you can ship directly to our Grand Oaks (Hwy 7) and West (Hwy 6) locations. If you would like for us to place your package directly into your unit, we will need a copy of your key, or the combination to open your lock. Otherwise, we will hold your packages in our office. This free service requires you to sign our General Release of Liability Form.
What if my unit is not at the Grand Oaks or West locations?
Not a problem! Our staff will transport your item directly to your unit as a part of their daily security and maintenance patrols (as long as the package weighs less than 20 pounds and we have a copy of your key or the combination needed to open your lock). This free service requires you to sign our General Release of Liability Form.
How do I fill out the shipping information?
When entering the address online, put the order in Your Extra Closet’s name, and put your name and unit information in address line two. Your name and unit information must be included so we can make sure your package gets to you. This free service requires you to sign our General Release of Liability Form.
Do I have to pick up my package during office hours?
If we have access to your unit, you can pick up your packages any time during our normal access hours of 6:00am - 10:00pm. If you choose to have them held at the office, you will need to retrieve them during our office hours of 9:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday.
I have a large shipment coming in, can Your Extra Closet receive it?
You bet! We can receive items sized anywhere from an envelope to a sofa. Our loading docks allow us to receive deliveries of any size. This free service requires you to sign our General Release of Liability Form.
Your Extra Closet makes business storage simple. You can reclaim your spare room or garage by storing your entire inventory out of the way and in one place. Our package receiving services and easy access to our facilities lets you do business on your own schedule.

I have a large number of items to store. Can you help me move it?
Yes. Give us a call and we will determine what size project you have and connect you with the right people for the job. We maintain working relationships with qualified and insured local movers.
Do you offer access to a moving truck?
For each new rental of a unit 10’x10’ or larger, you can use our moving truck at no charge anytime within the first seven days of your rental. The moving truck is big enough to hold up to a 10’x15’ storage unit. The truck features a pull-out cargo ramp for convenient loading and unloading, a roll-up rear door for easy access to your belongings and cargo tie-downs to keep your items secure.
How do I reserve the truck?
You can reserve the truck by calling our scheduling coordinator at (662) 238-7878
Can I rent the truck even if I don't have a new unit rental?
Yes. The truck is available to rent at a rate of $45/day and $0.79/mile. Our truck is only available to Your Extra Closet customers.
How far can the truck go? How long can I rent it?
The truck is for local use only within a 15-mile radius. You can rent the truck for up to 8 hours at a time. All drivers must be at least 25 years old with a valid driver’s license and an insurance card in your name.
How do I access my unit?
We will assign you a unique access code for the security gate or security door at your location. Your code will activate upon move in and you can begin using it immediately. Your unit will not have a lock on it when you arrive. Please bring your own lock or purchase a lock from us.
What if I forget my gate access code?
During normal business hours you can visit our Grand Oaks (Hwy 7) or West (Hwy 6) offices, give us a call, or send us an email to get your code. Your code is also printed on your receipts and invoices.
Does my unit come with a lock?
No. Your unit will be unlocked and will not have a lock on it. You may bring your own lock. Need a lock? You can call us and purchase a lock, and we will place the lock in your unit during the hours of 9:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday.
What kind of lock do I need?
We strongly suggest using a disc lock. These locks are nearly impossible to penetrate, as they have a hard-protective shell that cannot be broken. These locks can be found at any one of our offices, at our Kiosk Machine, or at your local hardware store.
Can I access my unit after hours?
Once you move in, you will have access to your unit from 6:00am - 10:00pm every day, 365 days a year. We can assist you with access to the facility after these hours in case of an emergency. There is a fee for after-hours access support.
What if I need 24 hour access?
Some of our facilities can offer 24-hour access. Please contact our office for more information.
24/7 Video Surveillance
Smile, you’re on camera!! All of our facilities are monitored and protected by video surveillance. At any given time you will be able to see numerous video cameras both inside and outside of our buildings. These cameras record all activates, deter thieves, verify events in progress, and give us a window into any actions on our properties. Our number one goal is to keep your items safe.
Located at our West (Hwy 6) facility, our 24/7 kiosk is available for use by customers who rent at any Your Extra Closet locations in Oxford. You can use the kiosk to:
- Pay rent with cash, card or check.
- Book a new rental.
- Speak with a customer service representative during the following hours:
- Monday - Friday: 7am - 11pm
- Saturday: 7am - 9pm
- Sunday: 9am - 8pm
Our offices at Grand Oaks (Hwy 7) and West (Hwy 6) sell Chateau brand packing supplies. Moving companies also purchase these supplies from us. Items we provide include:
